While printing, you can prepare the threaded rod. Take the rod and cut to to length (80mm). This can be done with a metal-cutting bandsaw or an angle grinder with a metal cutoff wheel.

Place a little red thread locker on the end of the rod and screw on a nut just at the end. You can use superglue instead of thread locker. Wait until fully cured.

Screw nut onto end of rod

Once printed, place some superglue in the cavity of the knob and press the nut into it. Wait until cured.

Glue nut into knob

Place some glue into the jaw holes on each of the vise body parts and press a jaw piece into place. Wait until cured.

Glue jaws onto body

Place a spring into the movable arm.

Insert spring

Hold the main body upside down and place a nut into the slot.

Insert nut into body

Slide the movable arm into the main body. You may need to use the end of the threaded rod to jiggle the nut from the other side so that it slides through the arm piece.
